IBOGA NITS DE VIVERS is back
Real name Alberto D’Ascola, this Sicilian with long dreadlocks left his homeland to move to Jamaica and fully embrace the culture he feels is his own. Living on the island for over 20 years, Alborosie is an ultra-prolific artist who has shaken up the world of roots reggae since 1993. His style encompasses roots, rub-a-dub, raggamuffin, dancehall, and dub, and no one combines these genres with as much reverence, joy, and energy as he does.
With a discography that includes cult albums like Soul Pirate and iconic tracks like Kingston Town and Herbalist, true anthems for several generations, Alborosie has become one of the most listened to reggae artists in the world.
Committed to authentic reggae, he honors and preserves his legacy by collaborating with renowned artists such as Ky-Mani Marley, Joe Mersa Marley, Collie Buddz, Roots Radics, The Wailers United, and King Jammy.
