The Iboga Summer Festival is one of the most massive musical events of the summer. At the end of July, thousands of people come to Tavernes de la Valldigna to enjoy bands of very diverse genres: balkan, gypsy, swing, ska, reggae, folk, electro-swing, ska-jazz, punk, hip hop, etc. .
This year, Iboga enters the green heart of Valencia for the first time to celebrate a magical summer night in a place as charming as the Jardines de Viveros. The cast selected for this special occasion is top notch.
The music producer Mandragora is one of the most outstanding artists of the current Trance scene. Creator and spearhead of the #futureprog genre, he has inspired artists all over the planet thanks to his creative genius. Thus, he has produced 8 albums and dozens of singles that add up to 500 million streams on his platforms. His unique and crazy style, and his catchy and endless energy, rank him among the best live acts to see today.
On the other hand, from Bosnia will arrive Dubioza Kolektiv. It is about a nothing ordinary band and formed in peculiar circumstances where a group of friends meet. In their proposal they mix local Balkan flavors with musical influences from around the world such as ska, punk, reggae, electronica or hip hop. Thus, they have created their own style that today, 20 years later, continues to be tremendous and addictive.
An iconic band on the electro-instrumental scene will also land at Iboga Nits: Hilight Tribe. They will carry their message of peace and unity among all cultures. Their values align with ancient tribes and civilizations, which they admire and reinterpret on their records and live shows. They have coined the expression “Natural Trance” to refer to their musical genre. It is a style performed by live musicians and finds its sources in avant-garde electronic rhythms and traditional world music.
Finally, the Balkan Paradise Orchestra will offer us a show as powerful as its musical career in recent years. With an unusual and groundbreaking line-up, with eight brass, woodwind and percussion players, the band brings a fresh and joyful air to the music scene outside the mainstream. Infected by the metal virus and connected to the Balkan tradition of wind orchestras, these eight women offer a show with an overwhelming capacity to make the audience unleash in an explosion of dances.
